Death Stranding is coming to PS4 this November

Death Stranding Mads

There’s a lot of mystery and weirdness behind Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. A new trailer has popped up, and fans get a taste of the story and the different characters. In addition, there are more gameplay elements shown featuring Norman Reedus as Sam sneaking around, doing close-quarters combat, and repelling down a rope. The biggest news of all is the announcement of the release date, which will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro on November 8, 2019.

The new Death Stranding trailer has Sam tasked with trying to bring the isolated cities together. Kojima has incorporated vocal performances and motion capture, and we see actors like Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Troy Baker, Lindsay Wagner, Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn. Of course, the Bridge Baby is back, and it helps bridge the different worlds.

The Bridge Baby is a thing, and it wouldn’t be complete if you didn’t get a chance to own one. You can get a life-size BB Pod with the Death Stranding Collector’s Edition. There’s also a Bridges Cargo Case, Ludens key ring, original soundtrack, 10 PSN Avatars, Gold “Ludens Mask” Sunglasses, Gold Armor Plate (Level 2), Gold Power Skeleton and Gold All-Terrain Skeleton. Pre-order items include the Gold “Sam” Sunglasses, Gold Armor Plate, Gold Hat and Gold Speed Skeleton.

With Kojima’s game coming out this year, that means that The Last of Us 2 will be delayed until early 2020, according to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier.

“Looks like Death Stranding is about to get announced for a November release,” he tweeted. “The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4.”

Synopsis: Sam Bridges must brave a world transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world.

Death Stranding will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro on November 8, 2019.
