Things heat up in the True Detective season finale trailer
With only one episode left in True Detective’s return-to-form third season, the mysteries intensify across all three of the show’s timelines. The season finale, “Now Am Found,” promises a few surprises may lurk around the corner. You can check out the trailer in the player below!
The third season of the anthology series is set in the heart of the Ozarks wherein a disturbing crime occurs and a mystery that deepens over decades plays out in the three separate time periods. Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali portrays Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas, with Carmen Ejogo as Arkansas schoolteacher Amelia Reardon, who shares a connection with two missing children in 1980. Fisher plays Freddy Burns, Wayne’s son, and Rhys Wakefield, Michael Greyeyes and Jon Tenney pop up as recurring characters Henry Hays, Brett Woodard, and Alan Jones, respectively. Mamie Gummer also stars.

True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto serves as the showrunner and one of the executive producers this season, which he’ll be the sole writer of — save for episode four, which he co-wrote with David Milch. Jeremy Saulnier (Hold the Dark), another executive producer, will direct some installments as will Pizzolatto, which marks his directorial debut. Daniel Sackheim (The Americans, Jack Ryan) will also helm a number of episodes.
Scott Stephens, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson (topliners for True Detective season one), season one director Cary Joki Fukunaga, Steve Golin, Bard Dorros, and Richard Brown are all serving as executive producers.
The final episode of True Detective season three airs Sunday, February 24.
