Her Smell trailer features Elisabeth Moss as a rockstar

Gunpowder & Sky and Voltage Pictures have released two different trailers for their upcoming drama film titled Her Smell. Starring Golden Globe-winning actress Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), the film centers around the Moss’ character Becky as she tries to reclaim her fame as rockstar while she deals with her drug addiction. Check out the videos below!

Her Smell follows the story of Becky Something, a ’90s punk rock superstar who once filled arenas with her grungy all-female trio Something She. Now she plays smaller venues while grappling with motherhood, exhausted bandmates, nervous record company executives, and a new generation of rising talent eager to usurp her stardom. When Becky’s chaos and excesses derail a recording session and national tour, she finds herself shunned, isolated and alone. Forced to get sober, temper her demons, and reckon with the past, she retreats from the spotlight and tries to recapture the creative inspiration that led her band to success.

The film will also star Amber Heard (Aquaman) as Zelda, Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad) as Cassie, Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) as Danny, Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars) as Roxie, Virginia Madsen (Sideways) as Ania, Dylan Gelula (First Girl I Loved) as Dottie and Eric Stotlz (Mask) as Howard.

Her Smell is written and directed by Alex Ross Perry. It is produced by Matthew Perniciaro, Adam Piotrowicz, Michael Sherman and Moss. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last September 9, 2018. It is scheduled to hit the theaters on April 12.
