Alita: Battle Angel is now out in theaters, and fans of the film and its music can now listen to the soundtrack on Spotify or CD. Titled Alita: Battle Angel – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, it features music composed by Tom Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL. The soundtrack is haunting, beautiful, and riveting with standout tracks like “In Time You’ll Remember” and “Motorball”.
As you may have noticed on the Alita: Battle Angel soundtrack album cover, the music producer/composer has decided to use just his real name. The Junkie XL stage name was previously attached to projects like Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Deadpool.

It’s directed by Robert Rodriguez (Sin City) and produced by James Cameron (Avatar, Terminator) and Jon Landau (Titanic, Avatar). The screenplay is written by Cameron and Altered Carbon creator Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and is based on the manga by Yukito Kishiro.

Junkie XL has contributed to a lot of sci-fi and superhero films in the past. Fans of Blade will definitely remember his track, “Dealing with the Rooster.” It was used in the kickass opening scene of the first film where Blade is fighting vampires inside a club.
Fans of Animatrix will know of his “Beauty Never Fades” track.
And of course, who can forget the Wonder Woman theme song?
