Avengers: Endgame is the most anticipated movie of the year for many moviegoers, and it will be coming to theaters in April. The film will definitely bring out a lot of emotions and excitement, and there’s a group that wants to bring smiles to cancer patients. Clay and Dillon of One List One Life have rented out an entire auditorium to give cancer patients and local kids in the hospital the opportunity to watch the upcoming Avengers: Endgame film for free.
One List One Life is a crowdfunded video series that follows Clay and Dillon on their journey of making bucket list dreams come true for those with cancer. They will be documenting the Avengers: Endgame event and are hoping that it will attract actors like Robert Downey and Chris Evans to make an appearance for the guests.
“One of the two people we’re currently helping, Lexi, was given a 17% chance to live due to a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis – #4 on her bucket list is to meet a Marvel actor,” Will wrote on his Reddit post. “We know it would be hard for one of the actors to actually meet her, so we were going to try and surprise her with a video from one of the Avengers.”
The idea for renting out the entire auditorium was to create enough publicity.
“Thing is, we like to think big so we thought we would try and make this a life-changing event for her AND other people that have been affected by cancer, hence renting out a theater (and trying to get Marvel’s attention),” he added.
They hope to have any of the Marvel actors to come and show up, but they are also okay with the actors doing a video message for the cancer patients.
“How to help: Our biggest obstacle is to get enough attention to get some of the actors to record a video. Tweeting, sharing, etc seems like the best way to help…maybe we can come up with a cool hashtag?”
The hashtag that they like is #AvengerStrong. With the noble cause, we’re pretty sure it will reach the actors.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26, 2019.
