Marvel’s Captain Marvel tickets now on sale

The big event is almost here with Captain Marvel making her big screen debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in March. Now fans can purchase tickets for the film now including Fandango, the digital movie network.

The movie is a highly anticipated film and is the top three most anticipated movie in 2019 according to the Fandango user poll. Over 3,500 people placed their vote, with Avengers: Endgame getting the top spot. Brie Larson was voted as the top actress that fans are excited to see in 2019.

This marks the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to feature a woman as the main superhero. This comes after Black Panther, the first MCU film with a majority black cast. It has shown us that a non-white superhero can make bank since the film made over a billion dollars. Marvel is looking to bring more diversity in the future with Shang-Chi, the Asian superhero and martial arts experts. The box office has shown that movies with a big Asian cast can sell tickets; for example, Crazy Rich Asians.

Captain Marvel synopsis: The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a screenplay by Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, and Jac Schaeffer and story by Nicole Perlman, Joe Schrapnel and Anna Waterhouse. It stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Annette Bening, Clark Gregg and Jude Law.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on Friday, March 8, 2019.
