Hikaru Utada Face My Fears EP Don't Think Twice Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom Hearts III is almost here! The hype is building up with the game’s release, and today Hikaru Utada drops her Face My Fears EP featuring songs from the game. Hikaru has performed the opening songs for Kingdom Hearts I and II, and the tradition continues with the third installment. “Face My Fears” is going to be the opening theme song with collaboration from EDM artist Skrillex and Poo Bear. There’s also “Don’t Think Twice,” which was featured in one of the Kingdom Hearts III trailers.

Skrillex is a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, and he was supposed to originally remix “Don’t Think Twice.” However, since both he and Hikaru are friends, they decided to create a whole new song together. And thus, “Face My Fears” is born.

You can check out the Face My Fears EP on Spotify now.

A vinyl record of the EP will be released in Spring 2019.

Check out the complete tracklist below:

  1. Face My Fears [English Version] (performed by Hikaru Utada & Skrillex)

The last Kingdom Hearts game that was made for the console in mind was Kingdom Hearts II on December 22, 2005. Since then, the game has been made for portable devices, with those games later being ported to consoles. Now over a decade later, fans will finally get another Kingdom Hearts game made for the consoles with Kingdom Hearts III. This marks the 12th Kingdom Hearts game in the series.

Kingdom Hearts III will feature similar gameplay from the previous games with some new updates. Sora returns as the main character, and he’ll be joined by Donald and Goofy. Players will get to experience new Disney worlds from Tangled, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Big Hero 6, and Frozen. Returning worlds include ones from Hercules, Pirates of the Caribbean, Winnie the Pooh, and more.

Tetsuya Nomura returns as the game’s director.

Kingdom Hearts III will be available on January 25, 2019, for the PS4 and Xbox One.
