Walt Disney Studios has released new character posters for the live-action Dumbo film featuring Colin Farrell as Holt Farrier, Danny DeVito as Max Medici, Michael Keaton as V.A. Vandevere, and Eva Green as Colette Marchant. Of course, there’s also Dumbo, and he’s looking very creepy with his blank expression and zombie-like eyes. Check out the posters below!
Dumbo
Dumbo’s character poster has him on a platform and ready to perform with his big droopy ears. In the film, he’s described as a sweet newborn elephant with oversized ears.
Michael Keaton as V.A. Vandevere
V.A. Vandevere is described as an entrepreneur who sets his sights on Medici’s circus and its flying elephant. In the poster, he has a very intense look as if he’s only in it for himself. If you’ve seen Michael Keaton play Ray Kroc in The Founder, then this role should be somewhat similar.
Colin Farrell as Holt Farrier
Holt Farrier is described as a former circus star charged with caring for an elephant who can fly.
Danny DeVito as Max Medici
Max Medici is described as the owner of a struggling circus who hopes Dumbo will bring in the crowds.
Eva Green as Colette Marchant
Colette Marchant is described as an accomplished aerialist who’s cast to fly alongside Dumbo in a state-of-the-art amusement park called Dreamland.
Synopsis: Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
The film is directed by Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger (Ophelia, Dream House), and produced by Justin Springer (TRON: Legacy), Kruger, Katterli Frauenfelder (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Big Eyes) and Derek Frey (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Frankenweenie).
Disney’s Dumbo releases in theaters on March 29, 2019.
