PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is finally coming to the PlayStation 4 next month after being available on the PC and Xbox One for quite some time. It was revealed via an announcement trailer along with details of a pre-order bundle filled with exclusive content.
With Fortnite being popular and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, Blackout, gaining a lot of steam, will the release of PUBG on the PS4 help bring the game back in the spotlight? It is the battle royale game that started it all. To entice PlayStation 4 players, the PS4 version will have exclusive Uncharted and The Last of Us items like Nathan Drake’s outfit from the Uncharted series and Ellie’s backpack from The Last of Us. If that’s not enough, players can get extra rewards via the Vikendi Event Pass’ additional progression path from the Survivor and Champion pre-orders.
PUBG will be available for the PlayStation 4 on December 7, 2018.
“We’re excited to expand our PUBG service and introduce new communities to our Battle Royale game” said Changhan Kim, CEO, PUBG Corp. “PlayStation has developed an amazing community of passionate gamers and we can’t wait to join them this holiday season”
The PS4 version of PUBG will launch with three maps: Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok.
There will be three different available bundles:
