Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive have a sick sense of humor. Actor Sean Bean is known to die in many of his films including The Lord of the Rings, GoldenEye and Equilibrium. Soon players can assassinate Sean Bean in the upcoming Hitman 2 game via the Elusive Target mission. In-game screenshots have been released, showing off the actor as Mark Faba, an MI5 agent turned assassin.
Nicknamed “The Undying,” Faba is the master of faking his own death, and he’ll be available to assassinate on November 20, a week after the release of Hitman 2 on November 13. Hitman 2 Elusive Target #1, “The Undying” will be available for a limited time.
There’s also a new video out about The Briefcase, and it will allow Agent 47 to hide all types of items. Players can use the briefcase as a melee weapon or use it to transport dangerous items into guarded areas via characters without their knowledge.
A new mode that should excited fans is Ghost Mode, a 1v1 multiplayer competition. Two players will have to compete against each other in killing the most targets. The cleaner the kill, the better the points. They can’t kill each other since they’ll see each other as ghosts, so each player will need to use items, weapons and ghost crate supply drops in the map to help them come out on top.
If you want to get away from PvP, there’s also the co-op mode, Sniper Assassin. Two players will team up to take down targets, and it’s available now for those who have pre-ordered Hitman 2.
Hitman 2 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Pc on November 13, 2018.
