It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 13 Episode 2 Recap
In the previous episode of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Dennis made his triumphant return to Paddy’s and Mac befriended an interesting, new companion. What does this week’s installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia season 13 episode 2 “The Gang Escapes!”
Escape Room
Dee hired an at-home escape room service. This entailed the gang being locked in a room together and having to figure out how to escape from it. Everyone in the group was resistant to the idea. But after some persuading from Dee, they relented.
Later that night, the group arrived at the escape room, Dee was quickly comfortable with the role playing aspects while the rest of the group refused to partake. Once the door was locked, Frank became very angry as he did not know that was part of the experience. Charlie offered Frank some gum in order to calm him down, but Dennis was upset by the volume of Frank’s chewing. Dee took charge of the group, but was quickly overtaken and locked inside of Dennis’ bedroom.
Splitting Up
Dennis and Mac formed one team, while Frank and Charlie formed another. Both teams had already found a clue, unfortunately they refused to help each other and had found a heart-shaped lock and heart-shaped key. Dee attempted to get the organizer of the escape room to help her out of the room, but the organizer refused. Dee then revealed that she had already done this escape room before and had picked it to show off to the guys.
Asserting Dominance
Dennis asked Mac to go get him some gum so he could rival Frank’s chewing. Charlie didn’t want to give up any gum as it was a power play, Frank agreed and the trio quickly got into an argument over it. Mac showed them the heart-shaped lock and Frank immediately called for a meeting between the two teams. Dee accidentally activated Dennis’ ‘sex mode’.
The Great Escape
The guys began to pretend they were members of a tribal parliament. They decided that they needed to elect a team leader. Charlie nominated Frank, and Frank agreed to buy everyone a 20oz steak in exchange for being team leader. Everyone agreed to those terms. The group then prepared to open the lock with the key, they disposed of their gum. Charlie then gave a speech about the great job they did in the escape room and Frank opened the lock. They found a note inside that gave them the instructions on how to solve the room.
It turned out that they had around 25 more things to do and only 2 minutes to get them all done. Dee escaped Dennis’ room through the window and had climbed all the way around the building. The organizer then opened the door and watched Dee fall off the side of the building. Dee was taken to the hospital and everyone was given their steaks.
