Alright, fans of classic Warner Bros. animated shows, it’s time to head on over to the Grammy Museum L.A. Live for a colorful and musical experience called The Get Animated Invasion. The interactive exhibit is inspired by music from classic cartoon shows and films like Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Scooby Doo, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Space Jam and more. It is now open and will run until September 9th.
Fans who enter the exhibit will get to pose in a total of 9 vibrant spaces with art from Crystal Wagner, Joshua Vides, Confetti System, Amelia Muqbel, and Sam Taylor. Check out some examples below.
Looney Tunes’ “What’s Opera, Doc?”
This is from the “What’s Opera, Doc?” short where Elmer Fudd is trying to capture Bugs Bunny. It features a lovely white horse being surrounded by white flowers. Attendees can pose by sitting on top of the horse.
Looney Tunes’ “Rabbit Of Seville”
Once again, Elmer is trying to get his hands on Bugs in the “Rabbit Of Seville” short. The space captures the scene where Bugs is giving Elmer a haircut, and attendees can try to emulate that moment.
Scooby Doo Psychedelic Stage
Get the gang together for a trippy photo as you play on the drums, guitar, or tambourine.
Animaniacs
This is definitely a favorite booth for us, and you can select different songs from Animaniacs including the theme song, “Yakko’s Universe,” “Wakko’s America,” “Yakko’s World,” “I’m Cute,” and “The Presidents Song.”
The Flintstones’ Stone Age-inspired Instrument
Yes, the Flintstones-inspired instrument actually works, and you can create your own tunes to get the crowd excited… or make them want to leave the exhibit.
Smallfoot
The Smallfoot space will transport attendees into a winter landscape, and it’s based on the upcoming film starring Channing Tatum, James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Danny DeVito, Gina Rodriguez, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry and Jimmy Tatro.
Space Jam
The Space Jam half-court is done by artist Joshua Vides, and it’s a very stylized version from the animated film with a focus on the color purple.
