New Kin clip highlights bond between boy and space gun
Lionsgate’s upcoming sci-fi thriller Kin, which will be hitting theaters towards the end of this month, has just released a new clip highlighting the main protagonist’s biological connection to an alien weapon. Check out the KIN clip in the player below!
The film follows a young boy named Eli in a dystopian future as he and his family lay low in a crime-ridden section of their town and his older brother returns from prison, only for him to quickly to return to his life of crime due to a debt to a crime lord. During all this, Eli discovers a mysterious weapon that he uses to protect his brother and father and sends them on the run from the crime lord, the government and bizarre otherworldly soldiers.
Kin, a full-length adaptation of the short film from directors Jonathan and Josh Baker, stars Myles Truitt, Jack Reynor (Detroit), Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies), Dennis Quaid (A Dog’s Purpose), James Franco (The Deuce), Carrie Coon (The Sinner) and Mark O’Brien (Arrival).
The film, which is being distributed by Summit Entertainment, is set to hit theaters August 31.
