David Harbour Continues to Tease Stranger Things 3

Stranger Things Season 3 Given the Green Light by Netflix!

David Harbour continues to tease Stranger Things 3

With the Emmy Awards just around the corner, busy nominated actor David Harbour has been making his interview rounds and has been answering the questions on everyone’s minds…what can you tell us about Stranger Things season 3? Well, Harbour gave up a little bit more with his interview with Vanity Fair.

When asked about if more of Hopper’s backstory would unfold in season 3, Harbour says, “In terms of Hopper, all the things that we’ve had from Season 1 and Season 2 come to a boiling point for him in the beginning of Season 3.”

Harbour continues, “So, this is a year for Hopper of real domesticity. Eleven’s been validated, she has a birth certificate. She’s a part of the world in some way. It’s really how Hopper deals with domestic issues, like real day-to-day stuff, that takes him to this place of . . . he might be better at drama than he is at just sort of … (hanging out).”

Harbour was also asked about a potential romance between Hopper and Winona Ryder’s Joyce, “In Season 2 he gets to relive his fatherhood experiences and really understand how to care for a child. We’ve seen him kind of as a dad and as a cop, and we haven’t seen him as sort of a man, in terms of having a real equal woman to tangle with. I would like to see that..”

Stranger Things Season 3 also stars Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, Sadie Sink as Max, Maya Thurman-Hawke as Robin, Jake Busey as Bruce, Francesca Reale as Heather, and Cary Elwes as Mayor Kline.

The series was created by The Duffer Brothers, who also serve as executive producers and directors along with Shawn Levy (who also directs), Dan Cohen and Iain Patterson. Stranger Things is a Netflix production.

Though no specific date has been given, the third season of the popular nostalgic sci-fi drama won’t premiere until summer 2019.
