Nintendo, Microsoft, EA, and Ubisoft have all come out victorious in a legal battle concerning supposed patent infringement concerning a “Personalized Instructional Aid.” Australian inventor Richard Baker claimed that the companies involved infringed upon his patent for virtual instructional aid with their fitness video games. Originally, a Washington federal judge decided in favor of Nintendo and the other game developers/publishers. In an appeal by Baker, the Federal Circuit sided with the Washington judge and upheld the original decision.
