Super Bomberman R closing in on 1 million units sold worldwide

I know that Bomberman is a recognizable brand for gamers, but I'm not quite sure how successful the franchise has been in recent years. That's all changed with Super Bomberman R, which has been a success story from the get-go. According to Konami President Shobo Hayagawa, the game is nearing 1 million units sold worldwide. While Super Bomberman R is coming to other platforms, this sales figure only pertains to the Switch version.
