The film is based on the classic ’80s arcade game featuring 3 giant monsters (ape, lizard, wolf) wreaking havoc in the city. The goal of the game is pretty simple, demolish buildings and eat people while avoiding the military and police. The last game in the franchise is Rampage: Total Destruction, which was released for the Gamecube back in 2006.
It’s directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas) and stars Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Malin Åkerman (Watchmen), Joe Manganiello (Justice League), Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead).
Rampage hits theaters on April 13, 2018.
