Marvel’s Jessica Jones can’t run from her past in season two trailer

Our favorite private investigator is back and more

In the new trailer for the second season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) can’t seem to get away from her past. As her business is slowly failing with the competition, Jessica Jones seeks out the mystery on how she came to have these power. She mentions the car accident that killed her family and how someone took her from the accident to conduct experiments on her. She has 17 years of questions she needs answered and ends up investigating her own past.

Jones finds out there are others like her. We also see how her best friend, Trish (Rachael Taylor), hinting at becoming Hellcat after telling Jessica that she needs a sidekick. Trish is seen fighting off some guys in the trailer and then holding a gun. We definitely aren’t going to see any superhero costumes, but it’s interesting to see how Trish will handle being a hero too.

At the end of the trailer, we see a glimpse of the Purple Man aka Zebediah Killgrave as purple haze covers the screen and see hands clapping. We can confirm David Tennant will make an appearance, but we’re not sure at what capacity – did he regenerate his body to return from the dead (insert Doctor Who joke)? In the comics, Killgrave is able to recover rapidly from trauma and heal himself from a severe injury and even death. So, that could be it. Or, maybe it’s just all in her head.
