First look at Danneel Ackles as Sister Jo on Supernatural
Entertainment Weekly has released three exclusive photos showcasing Danneel Ackles’ first appearance on Supernatural as Sister Jo, a faith healer who catches the attention of Lucifer in Episode 13×13, “Devil’s Bargain.”
In last night’s episode, “Breakdown,” fans watched as Castiel (Misha Collins) plunged an angel blade into Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) after the two escaped captivity together from the demons that had been holding them under the direction of Season 13 baddie, Asmodeus. It wasn’t enough to kill the devil, but it could be what sends him seeking out Sister Jo’s help in next week’s episode.
Danneel, wife of Supernatural‘s own Dean Winchester, Jensen Ackles, waited 13 years before finally deciding to join the Winchester brothers in their playground. The actress is obviously super excited about being on the show, sharing behind-the-scenes pictures and teasing her highly-anticipated appearance.
In EW‘s photos (see in the gallery below), we see Sister Jo standing behind Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean, likely facing off against Lucifer for the first time since he escaped the Apocalypse World where he was trapped at the end of Season 12. The other two pictures show Sister Jo healing an older woman before being confronted by Lucifer himself.
Also in the promo below, we see Sister Jo reaching out to Sam, Dean, and Castiel for help as the three search for the devil.
Supernatural airs Thursday nights on The CW.
