Bruno Bichir cast as The Chief in DC’s Titans series
Bruno Bichir (Absentia) has been cast as Dr. Niles (The Chief) Caulder in a recurring role on DC‘s new live-action series, Titans. The Chief is a pioneer in medical science who is searching the world over for those on the edge of death in need of a miracle. Brilliant, but controversial, Dr. Caulder will stop at nothing to help those he believes are in need, including his collection of strange heroes known as The Doom Patrol.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.
Titans comes from executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. In the action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Fans can expect Titans to be a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.
The series is set to premiere in 2018 as part of the inaugural slate of a new DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service once the streaming service launches.
