Not quite as popular as the last generation, the new Pixel 2 has been plagued with screen and audio issues that have caused some early adopters to remain weary. But recent reports are suggesting that the screen issue is mostly fixed, and they are going to work on a problem that has plagued a fair amount of users. Some users have reported a buzzing sound when they place the phone to their ear.
This is all according to the Google Community Manager Orrin Hancock: “Hey all, We’re rolling out a software update in the coming weeks which eliminates a faint buzzing sound on some Pixel 2 devices when the phone is placed to your ear during a phone call.”
This comes after the recent updates that have helped reduce the amount of burn-in issues on the P-OLED screen. They have also helped fix the clicking issue, and a few others that were all fixed by software updates. These updates might help newer reviews and user feedback that can hopefully push the sales back up in early 2018.
Although uncommon, issues like these tend to make users who shell out nearly a grand vocalize their issues loudly with Googles tech.
