Deep Seeds Sprout Anew in STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns, Yielding a Cornucopia of DLC & more

Torrance, Calif. — November 9, 2017 — XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced that the downloadable content release for the latest iteration in its beloved farming and life simulation series, STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns, is now available for purchase in North America exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS™ family of systems via the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS for $7.99. Series fans looking to show off their love of the popular sequel can also purchase a new custom Nintendo 3DS theme for $1.99 starting today.

Today’s DLC introduces the popular MC Stephanie and dapper dog-suited Woofio as new marriage candidates for players to pursue, should their hearts so desire. For those looking to cultivate their relationship with an existing partner, each of the 11 marriage candidates has received roughly 50 new lines of dialogue, and players can now raise a child with their favorite foxy guardian, Inari. These new romance options, along with new friendship events including a visit from the player’s family and a tea party, additional winter outfits, and more await STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns fans looking to extend their harvest seasons.

“It’s been humbling to see the enthusiasm with which fans embraced Trio of Towns in North America,” said Yoshifumi Hashimoto, producer of the Bokujo Monogatari series at Marvelous Inc. of Japan. “Their studied patience for this additional content, hopefully honed through many harvests in STORY OF SEASONS, is deeply appreciated, and we hope that their new or ongoing adventures continue fruitful and plenty.”

XSEED Games has also released a free update for STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns, available to download now for all current owners of the title. Separate from the DLC, the free update not only addresses minor software and text bugs, but also adds four new outfits to the game, including the outfits worn by protagonists Lest and Frey from Rune Factory 4.

To celebrate this new chapter in the beloved series’ 20-year history, STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns will be available for 30% off on the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS for one week starting today.
