In the new trailer for Marvel’s The Punisher, the release date for the series has finally been revealed: November 17.
In the new trailer, we see the reason why Frank Castle’s (Jon Bernthal) family were murdered – to cover up a military controversy that Castle was involved in. We then see clips of seeing what Castle does best: punishing people.
We also watches as he goes through his PTSD over what he did in the military and from the loss of his family.
The most exciting thing in this clip is that we also see the iconic Punisher logo on Castle’s chest.
Of course, we see Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) getting involved in the case and possibly with Castle.
Bernthal’s Castle was first introduced to audiences in the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil. The series also stars Will, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Amber Rose Revah, Ben Barnes, Daniel Webber, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Paul Schulze, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
The series was recently met with criticism over the glorification of gun violence. Their New York Comic-Con panel on October 7th was canceled after the October 1st events in Las Vegas.
Marvel’s The Punisher premieres on November 17 on Netflix.
