Marvel teases Jessica Jones season two at NYCC

Marvel released the new poster for Jessica Jones‘ second season just ahead of this weekend’s New York Comic-Con.

Sadly, Jessica Jones and her team will not be attending NYCC this year. They are currently still shooting the second season and are just offering the poster as a tease for convention goers. Fans could get the poster, as well as Marvel’s other series, at the Marvel booth. But, you never know what Marvel may do. At SDCC this year, during the Defenders panel, Marvel revealed a sneak peek at Netflix’s The Punisher. We could see some Jessica Jones during The Punisher‘s panel (which will be held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on October 7 at 5:15 pm – 6:45 pm).

The poster was drawn by Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment, Joe Quesada, who also serves as executive producer to Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. Quesada previously drew the exclusive Luke Cage poster that was released at this past year’s SDCC.

As for the premise for this season, as previously noted, we will see the return of David Tennant’s Kilgrave, but we’re not sure in what capacity. The second season is expected to air in 2018 with 13 episodes – all directed by female directors. Kristen Ritter returns as Jessica Jones with Eka Darville as Malcolm, Rachael Taylor as Trish, and Carrie-Ann Moss as Jeri Hogarth. The new cast members include J.R. Ramirez as Oscar, the new building manager and potential love interest for Jones; Leah Gibson as Ingrid; and, Janet McTeer in an undisclosed role.

Jessica Jones returns for its second season in 2018 on Netflix.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones Official Synopsis:

After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City. This drama is a suspenseful, edgy look into her life, as she faces demons from within and without.
