Koji Takada used to work at Square-Enix as a sales manager, but his days have long been over. Takada was arrested for some shady dealings going on behind-the-scenes, which he was using to make a personal profit.
It's said that Takada would deceptively buy Nintendo 3DS and more when making contracts with clients. He claimed the purchase of these units was necessary for work. Turns out that was all a lie, as Takada would then turn around and sell them for personal gain. This ended up resulting in a 1.4 million yen ($12,374) loss for Square Enix.
The sneaky business took place from November 2011 to September 2013, with official charges for breaching trust law brought up in December 2015.
