We finally have an answer as to why Capcom's support for the Switch has been rather lackluster so far. Check out this blurb from the Wall Street Journal.
A Capcom spokeswoman said that is normal procedure for third-party software developers because there isn’t enough time to make new games for a console within a year of its launch.
As Koei Tecmo said earlier, they decided to support Switch from the get-go, and it's paying off for them. Capcom clearly did not take that stance, and now they're paying for it.
