Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, we can talk about how the SNES Classic Edition brought the John Lewis website to its knees! The retailer was opening up orders for the SNES Classic Edition last night at 8 PM, and when they went live, the response crashed the site. For most, when the site finally came back online, the stock was gone. The retailer has offered an apology for the traffic issues.
"There was an amazing response to the relaunch of Nintendo SNES mini which went live on the John Lewis website last night. We apologise for any inconvenience caused when a small number of customers weren't able to access the website straight away."
