Get your light cycle ready, because Tron is headed your way… as a Funko Pop! vinyl figure. The Tron line will include Tron and Sark.
The figures are based on the film, Tron, about a computer programmer named Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) who gets transported into a computer mainframe. He will need to escape with the help from different programs including the titular character.
First up is Tron himself (see above), the self-monitoring security program. The figure is holding a disc and can glow in the dark, which captures the luminosity of the film’s outfits. He also comes with a rare chase variant (1-in6).
Next up is Sark, an evil program created by Ed Dillinger who runs the MCP’s army and overseer of the Game Grid games. Like Tron, he also glows in the dark and has his own disc.
Sark also has a rare chase variant (1-in-6).
The Funko Pop! Tron figures are coming November 2017.
Tron synopsis: When talented computer engineer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) finds out that Ed Dillinger (David Warner), an executive at his company, has been stealing his work, he tries to hack into the system. However, Flynn is transported into the digital world, where he has to face off against Dillinger’s computerized likeness, Sark, and the imposing Master Control Program. Aided by Tron (Bruce Boxleitner) and Yori (Cindy Morgan), Flynn becomes a freedom fighter for the oppressed programs of the grid.
