Japan - Super Famicom Classic Edition preorders open Sept. 16th, Famicom Classic Edition returning in 2018

Much like North America this morning, Nintendo announced some good news about the Super Famicom Classic Edition and Famicom Classic Edition in Japan.

- Super Famicom Classic Edition preorders open on September 16, 2017, with the launch following on October 5
- preorders should open 9am Japan Time on Amazon Japan
- production for the Super Famicom Classic Edition will continue through 2018 due to high demand
- the Famicom Classic Edition will be returning to Japan in 2018 as well
