Get ready for a gorgeous adventure game from Daedalic titled The Pillars of the Earth, which is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux. Based on the bestselling historical book by Ken Follett, the 2D interactive novel follows different characters as they navigate England in the 12th century. In addition to the game’s release, a launch trailer has been released today.
The game takes place during the time of war and suffering and follows three characters as they overcome great odds. It features beautiful art design and wonderful animation, and it will surely captivate historical adventure fans out there. Furthermore, there will be 21 chapters to explore with interactive events that can change and influence the fates of the different characters.
The game’s soundtrack is performed by FILMharmonic Orchestra in Prague. Additionally, the original novel has sold over 26 million copies.
Synopsis: Players follow Jack, Aliena, and Phillip, the three playable main characters as they contend with envy, murder and politics in their quest to build a gothic cathedral in Kingsbridge and revitalize the town. The game will be released in three “books,” each consisting of seven chapters. Book 1 “From the Ashes” is now available and players purchase a season pass which will automatically give them access to the books 2 and 3 as soon as they are available.
The Pillars of the Earth is available now for $29.99 on PC and $39.99 on consoles.
