Netflix has released the trailer for Message from the King, starring Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), and Teresa Palmer. You can watch the Message from the King trailer using the player below!
In Message from the King, Jacob King (Boseman) arrives in the city from South Africa, looking for his younger sister. He has a few hundred dollars in his pocket and a return ticket home in a week. Within 24 hours, he has found out that she has been brutally murdered. Message from the King is the story of the next six days. Directed by Fabrice Du Welz (Alleluia), the film will hit the streaming service on August 4.
From a script by Stephen Cornwell and Oliver Butcher, Message from the King was co-financed by eOne and The Ink Factory. Marchand and Benedict Carver, Senior Vice President, Filmed Entertainment, oversaw production for eOne, alongside fellow executive producers Ash Shah and Chadwick Boseman. The Ink Factory’s Stephen Cornwell and Simon Cornwell served as producers together with Rumble Films’ David Lancaster.
