20th Century Fox has acquired the film rights to Michelle Richmond’s novel ‘The Marriage Pact’

20th Century Fox has just acquired the feature film rights to the upcoming psychological suspense novel The Marriage Pact from author Michelle Richmond. The screenplay will be adapted by Justin Haythe, who is known for Red Sparrow starring Jennifer Lawrence and Revolutionary Road. The book will be released on Tuesday, July 25. 20th Century Fox’s Kira Goldberg will oversee the project for the studio.

Richmond is a New York Times bestselling author of novels like the 2014 political thriller “Golden State,” the international bestseller The Year of the Fog and No One You Know, a mystery that combines an unsolved murder with a centuries-old mathematical conjecture. She’s also got two story collections out. The Marriage Pact will be translated into 27 languages.
