Joss Whedon has taken the reigns for Justice League with Zack Snyder stepping out to deal with a family tragedy. Now there’s a report from Batman-on-Film that the film is currently doing reshoots in London. The biggest thing to note is that these will be “significant,” commencing in June and through July. (It may even extend to August.) And these aren’t going to be your typical pick-up shoots. Now we’re talking!
The site’s source also reveals that the main actors will return. Likely they include Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher coming back to London. Movie reshoots sometimes mean that a film is in trouble. However, the source says this is done to make the best film possible.
For those who aren’t fans of Zack Snyder’s DCEU films like Man of Steel or Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, then this report may give them hope. And if you’re a fan of his DCEU films, well, let’s hope you’re a fan of Joss Whedon’s works.
The previous DCEU films have made enough money to warrant further films. However, Wonder Woman has won the hearts of many audiences and critics while also making tons of money. And that is definitely a cause for celebration for Warner Bros. The company clearly wants to turn things around for Justice League.
It’s no surprise that the behind-the-scenes issues for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad have led to mediocre projects to the eyes of critics and many moviegoers. Will Whedon stepping in late in the game turn things around? We’ll all find out when the film is released later this year.
