With E3 2017 starting this week, there have been many leaks with Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Origins. Fans were able to learn about the main protagonist, Bayek, who is an Assassin during Ancient Egypt. During the Xbox E3 2017 Briefing, the world premiere trailer for the action parkour game was released that shows off the action and other game elements.
Synopsis
Journey into Ancient Egypt, the most mysterious place in history, during a crucial period that will shape the world. Discover the secrets behind the Great Pyramids, forgotten myths, the last pharaohs, and – engraved in long-lost hieroglyphics – the origin story of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is being developed by the team behind Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. Players can expect to navigate the waters with their ship, uncover lost tombs, explore the Great Pyramids, and learn about mummies, the gods, and the lost pharaohs.
As Bayek, his story will influence the start of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.

Ubisoft took a year off in 2016 to focus on the Assassin’s Creed film. (That didn’t do too well with critics and at the box office.) Let’s see if the year gap will help with creating an epic tale featuring Egypt.
The synopsis mentions that the game takes place in Ancient Egypt (3100 BC to 332 BC). However, we see Roman-style amphitheaters and gladiator games. So it would seem like the game is actually taking place during the Ptolemaic Kingdom.
The trailer starts off with a narrator saying, “We are the first.” Now the YouTube comments section has been filled with “We wuz kingz.” It’s an internet meme that spread in 4chan and was used to poke fun of the Black Egyptian Hypothesis, a theory that Ancient Egypt was a black civilization including Tutankhamen, Cleopatra, and Pharaoh Khafra.
In the same month, this video popped up, which you can see below.
