Liam Hemsworth and Adam Devine have joined the upcoming comedy Isn’t It Romantic
New Line Cinema‘s upcoming comedy Isn’t It Romantic has two new cast members. Adam Devine (Pitch Perfect 2) and Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) have joined Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids) in the film, which will be directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, according to THR. The story tells of a cynical woman (Wilson) who discovers that her life has become a romantic comedy, and she goes from sidekick to center stage.
Devine will play a character “stuck in the friend zone,” and Hemsworth will play the crush of Rebel Wilson’s character. The script for Isn’t It Romantic was written by Erin Cardillo with Dana Fox, Katie Silberman and Paula Pell working in it. The most current script has revisions from Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly. The film will be produced by Todd Garner, Grant Scharbo, Gina Matthews and Jeremy Stein. Isn’t It Romantic will begin production in June.
Liam Hemsworth is known for his work in the Hunger Games films, Independence Day: Resurgence and The Dressmaker. He’s also appeared in the TV series Workaholics and The Muppets. He’ll be seen next in Duel with Woody Harrelson. Adam Devine appeared with Rebel Wilson in Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2. He is also known for his work in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates with Zac Efron, Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick. He just hosted the MTV Movie & TV Awards and is shooting Game Over, Man for Netflix.
Rebel Wilson played Brynn in the comedy Bridesmaids and How to Be Single. She’s been seen in Pain & Gain, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and The Brothers Grimsby. She’ll be seen next in Nasty Women and Pitch Perfect 3.
