Square Enix is currently hosting a Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Event in Tokyo, and with the opening ceremony came a new key art from Final Fantasy VII Remake. Originally announced at E3 2015, the long rumored Final Fantasy VII Remake is finally making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Since then, Square Enix has largely been quiet about the remake with only tiny details regarding its gameplay and switch to an episodic format that would expand on the original game.
The Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Event also happens to be the 20th Anniversary of Final Fantasy VII’s release. The new artwork showcases our hero Cloud with the city Midgar and Shinra Headquarters in the background. Behind the Shinra building is the main villain Sephiroth, who is considered a legendary hero and master of the Masamune blade. You can see how lively Midgar looks with the rich details.
Still no release date or a new trailer, but hopefully we get more details this year at E3. Click on the image below for the full res image.
