Check out exclusive clips from February 7 releases Baby, Baby, Baby and Cross Wars
Welcome to ComingSoon.net’s look at all the top titles arriving this week on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD. Check out the gallery viewer below for a look at the major new releases, catalogue films and television collections hitting shelves and/or VOD beginning Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
It’s a big, big week for home entertainment releases and we’re kicking things off with a pair of exclusive clips. In the players at the bottom of this page, you can take a look at the new comedy Baby, Baby, Baby, starring Adrienne Palicki, and the actioner Cross Wars, starring Brian Austin Green, Danny Trejo and Vinnie Jones.
Recent big screen releases coming home February 7 include the ensemble comedy drama Almost Christmas, Ewan McGregor’s directorial debut American Pastoral, the martial arts actioner Beyond Redemption, and Life on the Life, starring John Travolta. The week also delivers Michael Shannon and Imogen Poots in the crime drama Frank and Lola, Idris Elba in the Parisian actioner The Take, Aaron Paul and Jamie Dornan in Alexandre Aja’s supernatural thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax, and Gael García Bernal and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Jonás Cuarón’s terrifyingly topical thriller Desierto. Rounding out the list is Jeff Nichols’ Loving, which earned star Ruth Negga an Oscar nomination, and and the animated musical adventure Trolls.
The romantic comedy Spin Out, meanwhile, arrives on DVD only while Cohen Media Group delivers writer and director Christian Carion’s 2015 WWII drama Come What May.
Two great documentaries arrive February 7. The Eagle Huntress, narrated by Daisy Ridley, explores a young Kazakh girl’s quest to become an eagle hunter, while Leonard Cohen: I’m Your Man takes a look at the work of the artist that the world lost late last year.
The animated DC Comic Universe expands with the release of the feature length Justice League Dark, featuring Constantine‘s Matt Ryan voicing the popular character. There’s another animated feature hitting today, too, with Nerdland. Aimed at adult audiences, Nerdland boasts a voice cast that includes Paul Rudd and Patton Oswalt.
While the film’s Blu-ray debut unfortunately arrives in the wake of Carrie Fisher’s death, Postcards from the Edge brings to the format Mike Nichol’s Academy Award-winning comedy drama scripted by Fisher from her own memoir.
In celebration of the film’s 30th anniversary, Dirty Dancing gets a new special edition Blu-ray with more than six hours of bonus content.
Warner Archive delivers a new Billy Wilder classic to Blu-ray with the HD debut of Love in the Afternoon, starring Gary Cooper and Audrey Hepburn.
With Kong: Skull Island on its way to theaters next month, Peter Jackson’s King Kong gets a re-release. For the first time, the 2005 remake comes to Blu-ray with a full roster of special features, including Jackson’s incredible production diaries.
Kirsten Johnson’s recent experimental documentary Cameraperson joins the Criterion Collection this week with a Blu-ray edition that includes, among other features, Johnson’s 2015 short film The Above.
Chloë Sevigny and Natasha Lyonne headline Antibirth, the trippy debut feature from director Danny Perez that this week joins Shout! Factory‘s Scream Factory label.
Collectors will also want to check out the exceptional new Steelbook edition of Dario Argento’s 1985 horror classic Phenomena. Available exclusively from HiDefNinja, the release includes Synapse Films‘ two-disc Blu-ray along with a third CD that features the full Phenomena soundtrack. This is HiDefNinja’s second Steelbook in the Black Label line, following a previous deluxe edition of Argento’s Tenebrae.
The list of small screen titles coming to Blu-ray February 7 kicks off with the first seasons of HBO‘s Vice Principals, the third season of El Rey‘s From Dusk Till Dawn and, on DVD only, the first season of Epix‘s Nick Nolte led comedy, Graves. There’s also a pair of family friendly DVD-only releases in the complete Power Rangers: Dino Charge season and the combined third and fourth seasons of Aardman Animation’s internationally beloved Shaun the Sheep.
For the first time ever, the complete Quantum Leap is available in HD February 7 with the majority of its original music restored! Horror fans, meanwhile, will want to pick up the complete Penny Dreadful, collecting all three seasons of the acclaimed Showtime series. Meanwhile, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine gets a new complete series box set, offering all seven seasons of the franchise spinoff, while the 80s The Twilight Zone delivers a complete series set.
Digital HD titles arriving February 7 include Kenneth Lonergan’s acclaimed Manchester by the Sea and Tom Ford’s stylish dramatic thriller Nocturnal Animals. Also be on the lookout for the horror sequel Stake Land II.
You can check out cover art for all the February 7, 2017 releases in the gallery viewer below alongside a listing of each release’s special features (where applicable).
