For those of us who recently upgraded their home theater system to 4K, I have some great news for you. Warner Bros has announced that they will be releasing all 8 films on Ultra HD Blu-ray this year.
To coincide with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them coming to Blu-ray, Warner Bros will be releasing the last four films of the series (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2) on Ultra HD Blu-ray.
The first four films, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, will be released in 2017. Warner Bros did not specify an exact release date for the first four films. There is no word on if there’ll be a 4K Harry Potter box set but my educated guess is that we’ll see it sooner rather than later.
