A Lannister is about the join the war and no, we’re not talking about a war in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Variety is reporting that “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage is in early talks to join Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War and the untitled 4th Avengers film in a key role.
Because of winter arriving in “Thrones,” production has moved from a summer filming schedule to a fall schedule. This shift has allowed Dinklage to board Infinity War and Avengers 4 that is expected to shoot sometime in the early summer. Both Avengers films are expected to film back-to-back and Dinklage is expected to be a part of both.
Dinklage is no stranger to the superhero genre as the actor appeared in Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past as Bolivar Trask. If he joins the cast, he’ll be joining a cast that already includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johannson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and more.
