These aren’t the trailers you’re looking for. Today, the Russo brothers shared a photo of a long line of trailers to commemorate the first day of principal photography for Avengers: Infinity War.
Despite not reading a script before today, Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff have indicated that they start filming today. It’s not confirmed who else is starting today but the fact that two of the members of the Guardians are starting today is not that surprising. There are a number of characters that the Russos have yet to direct but none are as more prominent — and more important — than the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Avengers: Infinity War was originally slated to be a two-part film, but Marvel has since canceled that idea. The third Avengers film is still titled Avengers: Infinity War but the second film’s title has not been revealed yet.
Along with Avengers: Infinity War, principal photography has also started for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther over the weekend in Atlanta. With such an early start date, our hope is that there will be some footage shown at this year’s SDCC.
