All hail the king! Warner Bros. releases Charlie Hunnam poster for ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’

The Arthurian legend has been told throughout the world for centuries and this summer will see a brand-new retelling of the tale with Guy Ritchie’s new film: King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Today, Warner Bros has released a new character poster with Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam. Check it out!

In addition to the poster, Warner Bros has announced they have teamed up with Snapchat to release a puzzle game selfie lens on January 22nd. If you’re able to complete the puzzle within the time limit then you’ll be able to reveal the King Arthur branded lens. The King Arthur lens allows you to don the robe and crown and unscramble your face with the tile-based puzzle. Be quick, though! The time will be recorded in the finished selfie video.

What do you think of the poster? Ready to watch Guy Ritchie’s take on King Arthur? Sound off in the comments section below!

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword stars Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, Jude Law, and Eric Bana.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword hits theaters on May 12th.
