Back at this year’s E3, Sony made ’90s kids (like me) everywhere cry pure tears of nostalgic joy when they announced that the first three Crash Bandicoot games would be fully remade on the PS4. Today, they’ve done it again at PlayStation Experience when they revealed gameplay and called it the N. Sane Trilogy.
The game features all the levels from Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped along with major changes to gameplay, character and cutscene animations, and a fully remastered soundtrack and sound effects. Also, the games’ original voice actors like Jess Harnell and Lex Lang have come back to do some additional voice work.
In a PlayStation.Blog post by Vicarious Vision’s Dan Tanguay, he gave some additional details on the remaster, calling it a “remaster plus” due to the aforementioned enhancements. There are also much-needed options like a save system, refined menus, and a time trial mode.
So far, the game is slated for a 2017 release on PS4 and PS4 Pro (them glorious fur textures) for the price of $39.99. Are you excited? Because I am! Check out the trailer below.
