CineFix has probably got to be one of my favorite YouTube channels, hands down (aside for our own, of course). During the course of the day, if I’m in the mood for some movie knowledge stimulation, I head over to the folks at CineFix, and binge on either their Movie Lists countdowns, Things You Didn’t Know, their 8-Bit Cinema (check out our coverage of their take on Marvel’s Doctor Strange), and so much more. One of my favorite things on their channel, however, is their Homemade Movies that they make, recreating either iconic scenes or trailers from film in the fashion of how you’d make one in your own backyard. The simplistic yet passionate product that results from these guys is also something that I end up watching over and over again, and today is no exception.
CineFix has released their Homemade Movie of a shot-for-shot recreation of the trailer for the upcoming film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The video showcases a great backyard-filmed vibe, serving up the fun campiness that fans love, from filming in cars that are meant to look like cockpits of starships, to the use of Legos and miniature models for cities and other great props! Not to mention the folks over at CineFix that lent their acting prowess for recreating the roles. Check out the incredible outcome down below!
The creators of this project also made a behind the scenes look at how the video was created, as well as a side by side comparison of their product and the original trailer!
