This week has been a very sad week, especially with news of Carrie Fisher passing away. Now we have a report from TMZ saying that Fisher’s mom, Debbie Reynolds, was rushed to the hospital for a possible stroke.
The police received a call around 1pm on Wednesday about Reynolds needing medical attention. The 84-year-old was at her son’s (Todd Fisher) place in Beverly Hills to discuss the funeral.
News of her daughter’s passing has hit Reynolds hard, and sources close to her have said that she may have suffered a stroke.
Fisher was on a United flight last Friday when she went into cardiac arrest.
Reynolds released a statement on Facebook later on Tuesday about her daughter.
“Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter,” Reynolds wrote. “I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop.”
Our prayers go out to her and her family.
