Ugh, isn’t Stranger Things amazing? Obviously we all knew that a season 2 was coming only a few weeks after the end of the first. With that being said, The Duffer Brothers are adding some big names to their new cast. People like Linnea Berthelsen, Sean Astin and Paul Reiser have just been confirmed to make an appearance in the new season.
Even better, we were given a glimpse as to what their characters mean to the story. Astin will be playing Bob Newby, a former high school student and friend of Joyce and Hopper. Berthelsen will be showcased in the show as a character named Roman, a troubled and “emotionally damaged” young woman who has a connection to the lab from season 1. Reiser will make an appearance as Dr. Owens, who is a member of the Department of Energy and is currently cleaning up last season’s mess.
These new characters will be joining our confirmed returning cast that includes the actors who played Will, Steve, Nancy, Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas Jonathan, Karen, and others.
Stranger Things season 2 has no confirmation date thus far, but it’s definitely going to be released sometime in 2017.
Just recently on November 4th, the series’ Twitter account uploaded that the it is currently back in production!
