Pokemon GO was a force to be reckoned with this past summer, turning crowds of people into hordes of poke-zombies all staring at their phone. However, with little changes to the basic gameplay, it is no surprise that even a cultural phenomenon like Pokemon GO is seeing dips in its daily users. That may change with the introduction of daily bonuses.
Originally founded by data miners, Niantic has confirmed the addition of daily bonuses and quests is coming to the game. Completing tasks like visiting your first PokéStop of the day and catching your first Pokémon of the day will result in XP, Stardust, and/or items. Consistently completing these daily will yield in additional loot as well.
Here is the break down of what you get for doing the quests:
Catching a Pokémon every day will earn the following bonus:
• 500 XP
• 600 Stardust
Catching a Pokémon every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
• 2,000 XP
• 2,400 Stardust
Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc every day will earn the following bonus:
• 500 XP
• A number of additional items
Visiting a PokéStop every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
• 2,000 XP
• A greater number of additional items
No word yet on the release of this feature, but if it works as planned this may bring back some of the hype the game as lost over the past couple of months.
What do you think? Will this bring you back to the game?
