Sony Pictures has found their director for their live-action adaptation of Mulan in Game of Thrones director Alex Graves, according to Deadline.
Mulan, the Chinese legend of a female warrior who takes her father’s place in the Chinese army, is being produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and will feature a Chinese lead, as well as an all Asian cast. There are currently two live-action versions of Mulan in the works – one by Sony and the other by Disney. Sony’s film script will be written by Jason Keller and produced by 2.0 Entertainment’s Doug Belgrad.
Graves directing credits include Game of Thrones, Shameless, Homeland, The West Wing, and House of Cards.
