After a year and a half full of rumors and speculation, we finally know what Nintendo’s next console is, and yes, it is a hybrid!
See Nintendo Switch, console gaming at home or on the go. In the trailer released this morning, we saw the system next to the TV playing Breath of the Wild, but what’s that? There’s a screen in it? That’s just insane! Users will be able to play their games via cartridge and use the system as a handheld.
The games shown were The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Skyrim, Mario Kart 8 (with some new features), NBA 2K17 (assumed), Splatoon, and a first look at the next Mario game. There’s a whole lot to take in with this new system so take a look at the trailer:
Also, here’s a list of partners for the Nintendo Switch:
The fact that Bethesda is supporting the Switch is amazing in itself. Oh, and is that From Software? Are we about to see Dark Souls on this console?
As for power, it’s been confirmed that the system will be using custom Nvidia GPUS.
