Marvel and Netflix have been knocking it out of the park with bringing us interesting villains and mature subject matter with series like Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Marvel Studios has been doing great with making blockbuster films loved by millions of fans and critics. Fans of the Marvel series can look forward to the upcoming Defenders series featuring Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe can look forward to Black Panther starring Chadwick Boseman.
Now we have news via Production Weekly that the working titles for both series and movie have been revealed. The Defenders is filmed using the “Group Therapy” working title. That’s pretty funny since the series is going to focus on a group of misfits. Will we get to see the New York City heroes sitting around and sharing their feelings? What is known about the series is that Sigourney Weaver is going to play the villain.
Black Panther is using the working title of “Motherland.” It’s pretty fitting for the film since T’Challa will be back in Wakanda. Production is scheduled for January 2017.
Before the Defenders premieres on Netflix, fans will be treated to the Iron Fist series on March 17, 2017. Black Panther hits theaters on July 6, 2018.
