Today’s Nintendo Direct focused exclusively on Nintendo 3DS software, a couple of which are 3DS ports of Wii U games.
Super Mario Maker was a smash hit last Fall, and now it’s heading to the 3DS, albeit with some limitations. The game will come with 100 built-in courses and the ability to play some courses designed on the Wii U, but you won’t be able to search for them by Course ID.
Local wireless and StreetPass will also contribute to the sharing of courses. Thankfully, all of the creative tools on the Wii U version (with the exception of the mystery mushroom) will be on the 3DS. Super Mario Maker for the 3DS will launch on December 2nd of this year.
Yoshi’s Wooly World is the second game to receive the 3DS treatment, this time under a different title: Poochy and Yoshi’s Wooly World.
It will feature each and every stage from the Wii U version including additional stages where you play as the hound Poochy. He will also help you find secrets in the regular stages. On the same day of release, a Poochy Amiibo plush will be released either with a bundle or separately.
